“Nasu Icesu” Wins Award in Food Innovation Contest 2017
On June 16 2017, Mae Fah Luang University students from the School of Agro-Industry at MFU seized winner award and 50,000 baht for their excellent works “Nasu Icesu” in the 9th Food Innovation Contest 2017 held by the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT) at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
The Food Innovation Contest is the food product development competition for university’s students showcasing their innovative product. The best food product will be further developed and distributed in real market.
“Nasu Icesu” is a unique ice-cream with a perfect combination of eggplant and coconut milk. Moreover, people can enjoy this delicious ice-cream with any kind of topping. Nasu Icesu is developed by Luk Mae Fah team members including Miss Thitirat Boonloom, Miss Laoongdao Lapinsee, Mr. Arunyik Yosthiwong, Miss Darunee Luangpun and Miss Pakathip Thakaeng in collaboration with Hsu Chuan Foods Company Limited. In addition, Luk Mae Fah team was supervisied by Dr. Piyaporn Chueamchaitrakun and Dr.Chirat Sirimuangmoon.
